In the Earth Sciences, the scientists belonging to entirely different disciplines work for a common objective- understanding the earth system. During the last few decades, Earth Sciences have evolved rapidly and we are now able to provide scientific models to reconstruct and forecast the past and future processes of the planet earth through multidisciplinary research. Advances in Earth Sciences is a new book series containing selected technical papers of e-Journal Earth Science India. It will also provide an opportunity to scientists of one discipline to know the developments in other disciplines and to explore the possibility of multidisciplinary research.
