After the grand success of the introductory issue of
e-Journal Earth Science India (ESI), the April issue is before
you. Thanks to all the visitors, contributors and supporters of this
new endeavour. Within a short span of time some milestones have been achieved , which I
would like to share with you:
- Recognition
and connectivity from the IYPE International website (www.yearofplanetearth.org)
and IYPE Indian website (www.iypeinsa.org).
- To achieve the
objective of ESI-quick dissemination of scientific
researches across the Globe, the technical papers appearing in
various issues of a year will be published at the end in the form of a book
Advances in Earth Sciences-Series.

The Society of Earth Scientists
(registered under societies act) has been formed by a core group of
devoted Earth Scientists to promote solidarity, mutual
cooperation and understanding among various Earth Scientists. Please
join hands together for safer Earth.

- A new inclusion in the ESI is a Popular Issue
for all those who are interested in our planet. The articles are
written by well-known scientists. These articles are also planned to
be published as separate book.
- Postal stamp designing contest: please
send your designs by 30th May,08. Selected four designs will be
awarded and forwarded to the Government of India to publish
as Indian Postal Stamps to
commemorate
International Year of Planet Earth.
